Emily A. Boykin

I am a Ph.D. candidate in Public Administration in the Askew School of Public Administration and Policy at Florida State University. I am on the job market during the 2023 - 2024 year.

My areas of interest include public management and public policy with a focus in public budgeting and finance. In my research, I not only examine normative decision-making by bureaucrats within collaborative arrangements but also analyze mechanisms behind policy failure which moderate governance performance and advances to social equity. In my teaching, I prioritize knowledge coproduction in an applied environment with an emphasis on advancing student analytical writing and research skills.
